Moss Moss Everywhere
On my recent trip to Portland, I was amazed at all the beautiful moss and plant life. Hiking up to Multnomah Falls was my favorite part of the trip, and the most breathtaking. I am inspired to create a greener patina on copper and started with Fern Necklace. Sour beer, along with a beet, squash, and hazelnut salad were some of the food highlights.

Portland Bound
Heading to Portland, OR this week and I am so excited to see the area, do some hiking, eat and drink great food and beer/wine, and take pictures of the beautiful Oregon landscapes. I worked on a new cuff this weekend, brass with layers of patina. Stay tuned for more metal work to come. If you are in Portland, come check out the Lewis Holiday Bazaar on Saturday.

Picture Pages
The grey skies are showing their face more frequently and the coffee/tea is flowing. This time of year, I drink about 4 cups of coffee or tea a day, depending on my mood. Today it was both, and with my creme brulee flavored beans, I am happy:) The grey days are perfect for photographing, so that is what I did. Here a few new additions to my etsy shop.

Back Home Again
Halloween is coming up and the festivities are under way. This past week I visited my family in Philadelphia and had a blast. Philadelphia is filled with interesting places to photograph and the history is everywhere you look. We took my niece to the Please Touch Museum for a Halloween party and it was awesome, there was so much for the kids to do and such cute costumes. She dressed up as a princess and I was a mouse, pretty simple but fun! I am busy working on some new cuffs and will post pictures tomorrow. Here are a few pics from Philly...

Books Not Bombs
Happy Monday! I am in the process of starting a new etsy shop focusing on my photography. I have always loved taking pictures and documenting the beauty that surrounds us. These days, we can all use a little beauty with what is going on in the world. Growing up, the words of Jack Kerouac were often near and inspiring to me. Here is a sneak peak of a few photographs from a trip to the City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco. http://www.citylights.com/

I love Sundays, a day to relax and get things done around the house before the week starts up again. Today I am preparing for a trip to Philadelphia to spend time with my sister and her family, I can't wait to see my three year old niece! I made t-shirts for them in honor of a baby boy on the way, pictures to come. The winner of the fall giveaway is Drew of Birmingham, MI with a pair of yellow filigree earrings. Thanks to everyone who participated and stay tuned for the winter give away! A few pictures of some new additions to my etsy shop, hope you have a great week.

Cider Mills Here I Come
Michigan has the best Cider Mills, in my opinion. This is my fourth year living in the state and it is still one of my favorite things to do. The leaves start changing, the air is crisp, and it is Cider Mill time. It is makes me feel like a kid again. I always look forward to honey crisp apples, cider, jam, and the best cinnamon and sugar doughnuts. Each year, we try to go somewhere new and this Saturday the Franklin Cider Mill, founded in 1837, is our destination. If you live in MI, maybe I will see you there! Above are a few pictures from their website www.franklincidermill.com
